Here is another study regarding children and exercise. Their findings are that physically active children actually boost their own brain development.

Warm Up: Group
Skill: Soccer Throws
WOD: Mark a spot on the wall. Move back 10 ft (adjust according to age). Throw a ball at the wall and try to hit the spot. Each child has 5 tries to hit spot. For each time missed perform the following:
50 yard sprint (50/25)
5 tuck jumps (3/3)
10 sec plank holds (8/5)
***then***
50 yard sprint (50/25)
10 jumping squats
Continue for 12 minutes

Monday and Wednesday: 6:30-7:00 pm
Saturday: 11:00-11:30 am
CrossFit Kids (Ages 9-13):
Monday and Wednesday: 7:00-7:45 pm
Saturday: 11:30-12:15 pm
In these classes your child will learn functional movements while involved in exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids need to do whether it is for play or sport…pull, push, run, throw, climb, lift and jump. No two classes are the same so your child will never get bored!
All movements are taught safely and effectively under the close supervision of a thoroughly trained CrossFit Kids Trainer and are held at our Sterling Heights location.
